To Complete the Procedure Smoothly
- Opening an account takes time, so it’s a good idea to call ahead before going to the post office.
- If opening accounts for multiple people, it’s best to go during non-peak hours (Tuesday to Friday, 10–11 AM or 2–3 PM).
Sending Items via International Mail
When sending packages overseas from Okinoerabu Island, using the “International Mail My Page Service” is convenient. Print your shipping label in advance and bring it to the post office.

Changing Your Address
If you’ve moved to the island, be sure to update your address to receive mail. You will need proof of your new address (such as a resident card with updated address for foreigners). To avoid crowds, visit during off-peak hours (Tuesday to Friday, 10–11 AM or 2–3 PM).
